Shimano Alfine and snow

This is my first winter season using my new commuter bike that has an internal geared hub.
The Shimano Alfine 8 speed hub is doing a fantastic job — goodbye frozen/clogged up derailleurs!

Have you used you Alfine for a whole winter? Has it lasted? I’ve been thinking in getting one for my 20km commute to work.

Yes, I used it all last winter and it worked great. My commute’s also roughly 20km to work and I didn’t have any problems with it. It was nice not having a rear derailleur to ice up!
